Springtime in DC
If spying isn’t your thing, then perhaps you would enjoy something more traditional, such as the Cherry Blossom Festival. Thousands of people travel to witness the annual blooming of the Cherry Blossoms that line the Tidal Basin. The peak time for these trees to bloom is generally around the first week of April. While you are there for the festival, you can enjoy a meal at one of the great restaurants inspired by the city’s famous blooms.

Summer Time in DC
Initiated in 1967, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival has brought together more than 16,000 craft artisans, musicians and performers, cooks, and others to exhibit the skills and share the knowledge that demonstrates the vitality of community-based traditions. The festival typically includes evening performances of music, song, dance, discussions of cultural issues, and much more, and encourages visitors to participate and actively learn about the people and cultures presented.

Fun and Games If you're relocating to Washington DC and you’re sports-minded, how about a Washington Redskins game? Or a Washington Nationals game may be your cup of tea. The Arts and Culture
If you like a more sophisticated cultural experience, there are many things that may be of interest to you. In the area of museums, there’s the Capital’s Children’s Museum where children are encouraged to explore with their five senses. For the sophisticated adult taste, the National Gallery of Art houses one of the finest collections in the world of paintings, sculpture and graphic arts dating back to the Middle Ages.
The DC area offers several national parks, gardens and many, many historical places to visit as well.
